The speakeasy offers a unique experience of traveling back in time to the Prohibition era. It features informative and entertaining exhibits, videos, and artifacts that tell the stories of the Roaring Twenties, an era that saw the rise of flappers, jazz, and the Mob. The speakeasy exhibit is built around a well-stocked bar with a hand-crafted cocktail menu, and weekly live music, creating a lively environment inspired by that bygone age.

Access to the speakeasy is quite intriguing. You need to get the password, find the side door and you’re in. However, access is restricted to ages 21 and over.

The speakeasy serves a collection of brunch-inspired cocktails starting at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday. Libations include mimosas, bellinis, screw drivers, Irish coffee and the morning’s favorite Bloody Mary. They also serve a variety of other cocktails, including the Pisco Sour, The Bookmaker cocktail, and a Blueberry Basil Margarita.

Many of the cocktails served have a rich history dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. For instance, the invention of the Pisco Sour is often credited to a Mormon American, Victor Vaughen Morris, who improvised the drink using Peru’s signature spirit during a celebration. The Bookmaker cocktail is a tribute to Charles K. McNeil, who transformed sports betting with his point system. The Margarita, originally known as a Tequila Daisy, gained popularity in the 1930s and has since gone through several renditions.

Yes, the speakeasy can accommodate groups as small as 10 or as large as 130 for all types of private events.
