Established in 1967, this was the first Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas. It has now expanded to two locations, West Sahara and Henderson, and has become a local favorite. The restaurant is currently run by the second generation of the Nakanishi family.

The restaurant's catering arm has provided over 30 million pieces of sushi to parties of up to 2000 people. They have 12 on-site Sushi Bars available for private parties. They also provide fresh sushi for local restaurants and institutions.

The restaurant has built its reputation on carrying only the finest fresh fish and its ability to create a variety of rolls to satisfy even the most adventurous of tastes. Their teppanyaki grill chefs are masters of their art, and the full, authentic Japanese menu has something to please everyone.

This restaurant was voted by Japan’s largest weekly magazine, the Asahi Shukan, as one of the 50 best Japanese Restaurants. It was the only one outside of Japan given this honor. It is also a 20-time winner of the “Best of Las Vegas” Award.

The upscale and conveniently located Henderson location features an airy and open modern design, as well as an onsite art gallery and performance stage with weekly live jazz performances. It also features a large sushi bar, tatami rooms, and teppan grill. The Sahara Ave location, a few blocks off the Las Vegas Strip, offers a classic Las Vegas experience in the original location, with a friendly sushi bar, private tatami rooms, and a live, flaming-hot teppan yaki grill experience.
